Shepiy is a one-stop women’s lifestyle brand committed to offering high-quality, ethically sourced products while fostering a transparent, sustainable, and socially responsible supply chain. As part of our commitment to human rights and ethical business practices, Shepiy takes proactive steps to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain, in compliance with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act.
Verification
Shepiy carefully evaluates the business practices and sourcing procedures of all suppliers before engagement. This verification process includes reviewing supplier-provided data, assessing sourcing practices, and examining additional information to identify potential risks of modern slavery. Our Supplier Code of Conduct establishes our risk-based approach to compliance, including prohibitions against modern slavery and requirements for robust management systems to ensure adherence.
Audits
Suppliers may undergo assessments to evaluate modern slavery risks within their operations. These assessments may include in-person evaluations by Shepiy or independent third-party audits to ensure adherence to our ethical standards.
Certification
All suppliers are required to acknowledge in writing their compliance with Shepiy’s Supplier Code of Conduct, which outlines expectations regarding human rights and the prohibition of modern slavery. This includes demonstrating policies and procedures to safeguard against such practices throughout their operations.
Accountability
Shepiy employees are expected to comply with our Ethical Business Policy and Employee Handbook, which prohibit the use of modern slavery and set forth human rights standards. Alleged violations can result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Suppliers unable to meet the standards outlined in the Code may be subject to corrective action plans or termination of partnership. Our Director of Responsible Sourcing oversees compliance with these standards.
Training
Employees receive regular training on our ethical policies, including onboarding orientation and ongoing education for staff involved in supply chain management. Specialized training ensures employees understand vendor evaluation procedures and risk mitigation related to human rights. Shepiy’s Vendor Compliance Team continually monitors industry standards and supply chain risks, working with third-party experts to stay informed of relevant trends and practices.
Third-Party Attestation
Shepiy has partnered with RCS Global Group, a global audit and advisory firm specializing in responsible sourcing, to review our due diligence systems. Based on assessments conducted from Q3 2018 to Q1 2019, RCS Global attested that Shepiy’s supply chain management system for diamonds and gold meets the expectations of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, Third Edition.
